For a growing number of Americans, a vacation means heading out with family members -- even the furry, four-legged ones.
The AAA says about one-seventh of the traveling public now bring their pets along. In a way this puts Fido and Fluffy in the driver's seat, as hotels and other travel hotspots realize that being "pet friendly" can be a lucrative way of tapping into that market.
