Nitty Gritty Library

Your ball flight is left to right and the hole shapes the opposite direction, leaving you little hope of hitting the fairway.

You could aim at the trees on the left and hope the ball comes back enough, but there's a good chance you'll find wood and possibly lose your ball. Try to play your normal shot starting down the middle of the fairway and the ball will likely run through the corner of the dogleg, again sending you on a Titleist egg hunt.

But now we're giving you a chance.

With the help of Tim Mitchell, an instructor at the David Leadbetter Academy at Red Sky Golf Club in Colorado's Vail Valley, we're going to show you how to shape shots -- in both directions -- in this week's video lesson.

Check it out and you could save a little money on golf balls.
