Evaluating the Colbert Bump

When it comes to the power to sway book sales, Oprah has her club. NPR has its NPRness. And Stephen Colbert claims that he has his "bump" -- a jump in book sales for authors who appear on his faux news show.

But is the "Colbert Report" bump a mountain or a molehill?

asap talked to authors who have sat across the table from Stephen Colbert -- and got on the phone with the man himself -- to better understand this phenomenon (and figure out if it even exists).
