Nitty Gritty 2: The golf grip.

In this installment of the "Nitty Gritty," asap's how-to sports video series, we demonstrate exactly how to grip it before you rip it.

After all, the first step to building a golf swing is holding the club.

Every part of the swing is interconnected. So if you start off by gripping the club the wrong way, you'll spend the rest of the swing trying to compensate for your mistake, which is, uh, not good.

So to help us hackers out with the right way to get our mitts on the club, we've enlisted Tim Mitchell, an instructor at the David Leadbetter Golf Academy at Red Sky Golf Club in the picturesque Vail Valley of Colorado. Breaking it down simply and effectively, Mitchell demonstrates proper grip in this short video lesson. Check it out, then watch it fly.
