Up Down Left Right

Frogger. Sonic the Hedgehog. Donkey Kong.

Video games and animals have always gone together like zoos and field trips. Now, digital critters are getting mouthy.

This week, we review two games starring talking animals: the platforming, slash-'em-up "TMNT" (Rated E for Everyone, various platforms and prices) and the witty episodic adventure throwback "Sam & Max" (Rated T for Teen, $8.95 per episode for Windows PC or available on the GameTap subscription service).

Then, we grab a controller and don a chef's hat at a preview event for Disney-Pixar's "Ratatouille" (Rated E for Everyone, various platforms and prices) and cook up a fiery duel against actor-comedian Patton Oswalt, the voice of French cuisine-loving rat Remi in the animated film and game.

Oo la la.
