Up Down Left Right

From a virtual Middle-earth to behind a plastic guitar, heroes can be found in the unlikeliest of places.

That's what DERRIK J. LANG and RYAN PEARSON uncovered in this third installment of asap's weekly gamer video "Up Down Left Right."

In anticipation of the launch on April 24, Lang and Pearson virtually teamed up as the hobbits Derrikwise and Ryano to do battle during the open beta of "Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar" (Rated T, $49.99 for Windows PC), the online role-playing game based on J.R.R. Tolkein's tales.

Then, Lang challenged five semipros on "Guitar Hero II" (Rated T, $79.99 for PlayStation 2, $89.99 for Xbox 360) to rock out on the most difficult guitar solo in the new Xbox 360 version of the game.
