In this weekly asap video feature, DERRIK J. LANG and RYAN PEARSON uncover quirky connections from every corner of the gaming world.
Everything new is retro again.
That's what RYAN PEARSON discovered in the second edition of asap's weekly gamer video "Up Down Left Right."
That includes even some of the latest games, from the Pac-Man-like orb collecting in the sandbox action game "Crackdown" (Rated M, $59.99 for Xbox 360) to the throwback sports card collecting of "Madden NFL 07" (Rated E, $49.99 for Wii).
Also this week: online game footage of his first Xbox Live shootout in "Gears of War" (Rated M, $59.99 for Xbox 360).
Next week, DERRIK J. LANG and PEARSON virtually team up during the open beta of "Lord of the Rings Online" to discover if this new MMORPG is anything like J.R.R. Tolkien's tales. Then, Lang challenges five "Guitar Hero" semi-pros to rock out on the most difficult guitar solo ever.
