It's possible at the Grammys.
asap asked Grammy-nominated singers and other attendees at Sunday night's show to belt out their best few bars in impromptu performances on the carpet.

Ashley Rose, "Whatever It Takes"
The 16-year-old New York native is recording an album with aid from big names including Timbaland, Marques Houston and Omarion, and will be touring with a brand new boy band in coming months. Her real name is Ashley Orr but she's going by Rose, her middle name, because "it sounds cool."

The three "My Grammy Moment" finalists -- Robyn Troup, Africa Miranda and Brenda Radney -- all rehearsed with Justin Timberlake after making it to the finals of an "American Idol"-style contest. But only one -- Troup -- performed on the live Grammy telecast alongside Timberlake and rapper T.I.

Gospel singer Kierra Sheard was nominated for gospel song of the year for the tune penned by producer Rodney Jerkins' brother Freddy Jerkins.

Michael Buble, "My Humps"
Standards crooner Michael Buble noted the number of reunions happening at the Grammy Awards, and noted, "I'm actually joining up again with the Black Eyed Peas. That's where I started. When I wrote the 'Humps' song, I never thought it was going to go anywhere. It's just weird. I'm an original G, man."

Rebecca Valadez, "No Quiero Esta Sin Tu Amor"
Nominated for best Tejano album, Rebecca Valadez explains the meaning of her song: "It means 'I don't want to be without your love.' ... I wrote it about my dog dying, but I made it sound like a love song so I wouldn't look like an idiot writing a song about my dog. His name was Frankie. He was cool, he was a little miniature pinscher. He was a real smart dog."

The Colorado-based rockers were nominated for best performance by a duo or group with vocal in both the rock and pop categories. But their minds were on the Police reunion, and that group's famed "Roxanne."

The Cuban timba singers, nominated in the Latin Tropical category, sing a song whose title means "The Key."
