Are Our Kids Safe At School

Good Morning

This should go right along with the story of "is our kids safe at school?". He may not have been shot and killed but he was hospitalized by a fellow 11 year old classmate by poison.

I really think people should know about what happened to my son so that it may not happen to one of your kids, family members, or someone you know. My son Austin age 11 arrived at school last Friday the 29th of September as if it was and would be another normal day at school. Sometime before class started or on the 1st recess a class mate that he knew had asked Austin to try this candy he had. Supposedly my son stated that he only placed a drop on his finger and put it in his mouth. Immediately the other boy age 11 told my son "You just drank/ate Poison!". My son became sick immediately and not to soon after he began to vomit. He was hospitalized for 4 days.

You know I have never heard of something like this happening nor have all the people(Doctors/Nurses/Patients/Visitors) we encountered at the hospital in Riverside or the Pediatric hospital in Los Angeles where an ambulance transferred him to. We do our best to tell our kids not to take candy or anything from a stranger and in our mind we think of adults. But I can not believe that a kid would do something like this. The boy bragged at school to class mates after that he is always mixing things at home.

According to his statement he mixed Raid(Ant/Roach Killer), Powder Cascade, Food Coloring, Rice Vinegar and something else. This kid knew what he was doing as he was well aware of what he was putting and the main evidence of that is telling my son he just took poison. You know if my son or any other kid would have taken a normal drink of this poison they definitely would end up dead. So please let people know that their is also danger of being poisoned from kids.

At the least please call me and let me know that you are not interested so that I can go somewhere else to make sure the public is aware of a 11 year old child being poisoned by a fellow class mate age 11.

Thank You,

Joe Adkins
